Examples of projects undertaken by Archer Consulting Limited:
2011 Programme Manager Turner Townsend – feasibility study for development of properties for Free Schools.
2008 -11 Programme Manager, LB Hounslow – project management of £5.5m Sure Start capital budget to create 11 new early years facilities and 75 landscaping schemes for innovative outside play in the EYFS.
This included:
- identification of suitable land and property for development;
- consultation with stakeholders;
- securing funding and sign off by councillors for expenditure;
- developing specifications and designs;
- project management of construction phase;
- cost management and value engineering of schemes;
- advice on FFE resources;
- creation and delivery of innovative outside play, including Forest Schools.
2005-09 Project Manager, Learning Trust in LB Hackney for the development of building design and integrated services for Phase 1 & 2 Children’s Centres. This included
consultancy on: the capital process; feasibility studies; cost estimates; establishing new services and setting revenue budgets for each of the new centres.
2005-08 Capital Project Manager for the delivery of the Phase 1 & 2 Children’s Centres programme on behalf of Thurrock Borough Council.
2005-06 On behalf of 4Children, the delivery of strategic workshops for local authorities to help them plan and prepare for integrating education and child care and meet the extended school childcare targets in 2008/10;
2005 Working with and supporting the Learning Trust in Hackney and their 17 designated children’s centres, to produce sustainable business plans;
2004-05 Providing strategic and practical support to Barnet to take forward their extended schools and children centre agenda, including the production of detailed written guidance for schools and governors. Member of project board developing Barnet’s full service extended school.
2001-04 The creation and delivery of an early years capital strategy that grew Hertfordshire funding from £1m to £3.3m by using a range of funding streams. When complete, this will provide integrated education and childcare in all Herts maintained nursery schools, setting in place key facilities which have then allowed a number to develop into children’s centres.
